“Putting Students First!”

As your Convenor of Business, Public Policy & Law I aim to:

  • Help every class representative in fulfilling their duties of representing you, the students.

  • Fight for all students at the University Academic Council and on the Executive Committee to the best of my abilities.

  • Be accessible and active on media platforms so that every issue gets acknowledged and resolved as soon as possible.

  • Hold regular meetings with the class representatives, be inclusive and impartial when chairing class representative meetings. I plan to hold general and course-specific meetings, to allow for time efficiency for class representatives.

  • Take every issue onboard and find the best possible solution for the students.

  • Be open to listening to every idea and opinion that a student may have.

  • When we are back on campus, I will make sure that as many class representatives attend the meetings through an open channel of communication.

  • Publicise about non-personal problems that students have within the faculty.

In the first days of my tenure, I will try and tackle the issues of:

  • Releasing information earlier on what global options are available.
  • Losing global certification when keeping a language in the second year.
  • Lack of study week.
  • Inadequate feedback
  • Why the new Law modules were stripped of the opportunity of doing "half abroad and half work placement" in the third year.

These are probably a few of the many problems that are currently ongoing and probably not the last problems that we will encounter during our next academic year! Therefore, an anonymous suggestion box will be available to you, the students, on all media platforms!

I look forward to hopefully representing you all in the near future!
